Compatible with most compost spreaders on the market, the Artemis Compost Spreader Brush transforms the efficiency of compost spreaders by keeping the mesh unblocked and clear so that top dressing material can always be distributed uniformly onto the ground. It works using a surface mounted brush to clear debris from the mesh as the spreader rotates.
It is particularly effective when ground conditions are slightly damp or the material inside the spreader has not fully dried out (as is often the case), compost sticks to the spreader as it rolls across the ground and blocks up the holes in the mesh, preventing material inside the spreader from being distributed consistently. Worse still, if damp material sticks the surface of the spreader it can very easily pick up the grass seed on the ground as the spreader passes over it. The solution is to keep the mesh clear at all times and this is what the brush does very effectively.

Description
Mesh Clearing Brush
The Artemis Compost Spreader Brush spans the full width of the spreader so all the mesh is kept clear as the spreader rotates.
The brush only needs to be in light contact with the surface of the spreader to clear any material from the mesh which then simply falls back into the spreader for redistribution.
Height Adjustable
The Artemis Compost Spreader Brush is height adjustable so you can set the brush to apply as little or as much friction as you want. A couple of turns by hand of the wing nuts is all that is needed to make any adjustments.
Brush Engagement
The Artemis Compost Spreader Brush can remain attached to the spreader at all times. It can be quickly engaged or disengaged whenever the ground or material conditions require it by simply adjusting the wing nuts at both fixing points by hand.
Mounting Positions
The Artemis Compost Spreader Brush has been designed to fit most compost spreaders which have a round profile handlebar mount, including all versions of the Landzie Compost Spreader.
The Brush has 4 fixing points, an inner pair and an outer pair. This ensures the brush can be mounted securely around handle brackets with a central, triangular or wide handle fixing point.
