Whilst we have made every effort to ensure that the content of this website is as accurate as possible we do not guarantee the content will be free of errors. To the fullest extent permissible by law, Garden Imports UK Ltd shall not be liable for any kind of loss or damage from action taken or reliance placed on information contained on this website.
Customers outside the UK will be responsible for any and all charges levied by the customs or tax authorities in the destination country. The amount charged in the total price including shipping for any international orders will not include any UK VAT.
Any order for goods placed through our website shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions. All other Terms and Conditions expressed or implied by statute or otherwise are excluded to the fullest extent permissible by law. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under any applicable law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded.
We must receive payment for the total price of the goods that you order before your order can be processed. Once payment has been received by us, we will confirm that your order has been received by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your order form. Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the goods ordered.
Delivery charges for the Landzie product range are clearly indicated on the Landzie Shipping Destinations page and also you will be notified of the delivery cost at checkout. Delivery prices generally range from £12.50 in the UK to £30.00 across selected parts of Europe. Please note an additional surcharge may be required for certain postcodes in the UK (island locations, Scottish Highlands and remote areas). Products will be delivered boxed.
Delivery charges for products from the Swardman range are provided. However the lawn mowers need to shipped on a pallet and with full insurance in place due to the value of the product. Delivery charges at checkout are an estimation and you may be invoiced later for any balance due on the cost of shipping, but only with prior notification and with your approval. For high value orders, if not most orders, Garden Imports UK Ltd will contact you to review your order, confirm delivery arrangements and finalise the delivery charges.
Our delivery carriers will require someone in attendance to take delivery of the majority of the products sold. We will not normally agree to leave items in a safe place if you are out due to the high value of the products being shipped. Please use the Comments box when ordering to specify any delivery concerns that will need to be taken into account and a Garden Imports UK Ltd representative will contact you to discuss these. In exceptional cases where a low value item is being delivered and left in an unattended place at your request, we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to items as a result of being left unattended based on your instructions.
All the machinery we sell is brand new and tested as part of our manufacturers standard process. Random samples will be taken from time to time here in the UK with the items being subject to a Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI). These items are often also repackaged to ensure safe delivery. If you have any concerns about this, please do contact us.
Delivery charges may vary from time to time.
Delivery times are calculated in working days- i.e. Monday to Friday inclusive (working days do not include weekends or National Bank Holidays). In case of Bank Holidays please allow an extra 2 working days.
From the receipt of your order we will endeavour to deliver your chosen items to you within 7 working days providing the goods are in stock, unless a longer delivery time is shown on the product information page.
Deliveries to non-mainland or remote locations may take longer. Goods delivered by courier should usually arrive between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
We do everything we can to meet the delivery time specified in this section, however occasionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control and cannot be guaranteed.
You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction. If the box is damaged please sign for it, clearly stating ‘received damaged’ and notify us immediately so that we can address the issue with our couriers.
It is the responsibility of the customer to provide accurate shipping information, including address and contact details and to be available to receive any goods ordered.
If a customer delivery cannot be completed after a reasonable number of attempts by our courier, then the customer will be notified where they should go to collect the parcel from the courier depot and the customer will be expected to collect the item within the time specified by the courier otherwise the items will normally be returned to us.
In the event that a shipment is unable to be completed due to the customer providing incorrect address details, a customer being unavailable to receive a shipment for any reason or a customer failing to collect a shipment from a courier depot, then shipments will normally be returned to us.
We will accept items back into stock if they are returned in a resaleable condition and a refund will be issued to the customer. A restocking charge of £7.50 per item will apply, along with a return carriage fee equivalent to the original shipping charge applied to the order and the payment processing fees which will all be deducted from the value of the order before the refund is issued.
In all circumstances, we will not accept items back into stock if they are returned in a condition unfit for sale and a refund will not be issued to the customer.
All products are covered by a full manufacturer’s warranty, the period of which varies according to the product. The warranty period starts from the date of purchase and some are conditional on the product being serviced at the recommended intervals by an approved dealer.
The warranty covers faults, which may occur due to faulty components or workmanship but excludes consumable items, fair wear and tear or defects caused by misuse or a failure to observe any care and maintenance advice provided in the description section on the product page.
For Swardman Cylinder Mowers: Owners will get the most from their experience if they take good care of their mower, take time to understand how the mower works and the limitations. Owners should also be comfortable carrying out maintenance and repair tasks as this will minimise downtime. The Swardman Warranty page outlines the process, conditions and arrangement for warranty claims which form part of these terms and conditions.
If a return to our service centre for work to be carried out under warranty, the owner is responsible for packing their mower with suitable packaging and protective materials to ensure safe handling during transport and to avoid any damage to the mower. Packing instructions can be found here. The owner must secure the mower to a pallet before any collection can be arranged. We recommend retaining the original packaging (it can fold flat) and pallet.
If the goods we deliver are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us by email or in writing at our contact address within 14 days. If you notify a problem to us under this condition, our only obligation will be:
To make good any shortage or non-delivery;
To repair or replace any goods that are damaged or defective; or if repair to or replacement of the goods is not possible, or the cost of repair or replacement is disproportionate in the circumstances, to give you a partial or full refund for the goods in question, depending on what is reasonable in the circumstances.
Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage, or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation.

The prices shown are only applicable to purchases made via the gardenimports.co.uk website. Prices in other locations, either online or in stores may vary to those shown on the website. Special offers and promotions advertised in the press or other media may be excluded unless specifically advertised as available online. All prices are correct at time of display online and do not include VAT as Garden Imports UK Ltd is not registered for VAT. We regret we are not able to offer VAT exclusive pricing for deliveries to the Channel Islands. In the unlikely event of an administrative error resulting in an incorrect price being displayed, we reserve the right to correct the price. In these circumstances, you will not be bound to continue with your purchase and will be asked to email us to confirm that you wish to proceed.
Cancellation of contract
You may cancel your contract with us for the goods you order at any time up to the end of the fourteenth day from the date you receive the ordered goods, which must be in writing or by e-mail.
If you have received the goods before you cancel your contract then, you must send the goods back unused and in their original packaging to the address specified by us, at your own cost and risk and within fourteen days from the point at which you notify us of the cancellation. If you cancel your contract but we have already processed the goods for delivery you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to us at the address specified by us, at your own cost and risk as soon as possible.
Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your contract, any sum deducted by us for the products from your payment card will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible provided that the goods in question are returned by you in the condition they were in when delivered to you. We regret that delivery charges where applicable are non-refundable as is the cost of the payment processing fees charged to us by our payment solution provider. If you do not return the goods or pay the cost of return delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.
If you order an item on backorder, or in advance of it’s arrival in stock, and you subsequently cancel the order before it has shipped to you then we will refund the cost of the item less the cost of the payment processing fees charged to us by our payment solution provider. This has (regrettably) become necessary since payment providers stopped refunding their fees on cancelled transactions.
Where goods are not faulty but the customer wishes to return them, the goods can only be returned to the company if fully re-saleable, being unopened with any original manufacturers seals or shrink wrap in place, within fourteen (14) days.
You will be under a duty to take reasonable care to see that returned goods are well packaged, so to avoid damage in transit. An appropriate method of return should be used. All goods are returned at your own cost.
Where goods are not faulty, a refund will be issued for the cost of the item purchased, less the cost of shipping and payment processing fees charged to us by our payment solution provider. This has (regrettably) become necessary since payment providers stopped refunding their fees on cancelled transactions.
In all instances, Garden Imports UK Ltd will not accept liability for damage caused to any item returned to us due to insufficient packaging. The customer is responsible for this.
Cancellation by us
We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if:
- We have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered:
- The product is no longer available due to manufacturers non supply:
- We do not deliver to your area;
- One or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.
If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from you as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment. We will not have any responsibility for contacting you if you fail to provide a correct email address.
